Pre-School Gymnastics

Pre-School gymnastics is a must for any child, the perfect start to lifelong health and activity.

Our Little Falcons sessions offer pre-school gymnastics to children aged 15 months to 4 years old. The benefits are enormous, in terms of both physical and emotional development, all delivered in a setting that has been designed to be safe and fun, while working with some outstanding pre-school gymnastics coaches.

All our sessions start with a warm-up to music, where children are encouraged to use imagination while listening and moving to nursery rhymes, songs, and fairy stories. The emphasis is to improve functional strength and develop gross motor skills such as hanging from bars and learning to swing, along with building good hand, eye and foot coordination and visual tracking. These are the foundations for gymnastics and in fact for all sports, and are known as the A, B, Cs – agility, balance, and co-ordination.

Pre-School Classes with parent

Ages from 15 months up to 4 years (walking confidently)

Gymnasts are gently introduced to our activity stations, allowing them to practise skills such as rolling, climbing, jumping, hanging, swinging, and catching – all at their own pace.

These specially designed parent with child classes will support the development of motor skills through fun and engaging weekly sessions led by our super qualified pre-school coaches. The gymnasts quickly build confidence, learn to interact with others, and listen to their parent and follow instructions.

Pre-School Classes without parent:

Ages from 2.5 up to 4 years

On a Sunday morning we offer the opportunity for toddlers to work independently of their parents in small groups led by their coach, rotating around a variety of different activity stations building on the A,B,Cs described above.

These specially structured classes within the gym continue to be the perfect environment for pre-schoolers to safely take those first steps & falls, first runs & tumbles, with support and assistance from our coaches. Due to the nature of the session and age of the children, parents are welcome to stay and watch, but for safety reasons we ask that this is kept to one parent only – thank you.

This is why we do what we do

My daughter looks forward to gymnastics every week. It has been lovely to see her confidence grow since joining. Being part of a small group with the same staff and children each week has meant that they can get to know each other and has helped her to get the most out of the session.’

My son has been coming to Little Falcons for over a year now and has changed so much. He enjoys developing his strength and coordination skills, as well as having fun at the same time. His little sister has now joined too because of how fantastic the class is. The instructors are very knowledgeable, safe and kind to the children. I love that they encourage children to be independent too. There is a great variety of activities as well as the repetition of skills that children need. I would highly recommend Little Falcons to anyone.

  9. After you have attended your first session, you will be asked to become a member of British Gymnastics (BG). Membership runs yearly from September to August. The club cannot complete this on your behalf due to GDPR rules. Membership to British Gymnastics is mandatory, and no gymnast will be allowed to attend any sessions without valid membership. For more information, please see “Become a member of BG”.

How much does it cost?

All pre-school gymnastics classes have a rolling termly subscription of £120 per gymnast.

The above prices are per term, which over 3 terms represents 36 weeks. (Please note: some individual terms may be longer or shorter, but over the 3 school terms they will always equal 36 weeks).

If you sign up prior to the start of the term, you have 2 payment options: Either pay the termly fee in full which is £126.00, or you can split the payment over 2 instalments, however this method does incur a small additional service charge from our provider and therefore the first payment on sign up is £65.00 with the second instalment also being £65.00 payable about 6 weeks into the term.

And finally

If you reenrol once the term has started, we kindly ask that payment for classes is made in full.

If you are a new member and are allocated a place part-way through the term, the booking system will automatically adjust your fees according to the point in the term at which you are starting.

How to access the car park & session drop off

Once on Hawk drive continue straight – you will pass the South Pole Scott primary site on your left-hand side.
After passing this site, North Pole Scott Primary site is straight ahead, where our classes take place.
Bear to the left and enter through the green gates.
For the main car park follow the road around to the right.
As you turn follow the school building and there will be silver gates on your left-hand side.
Drive through the silver gates to enter the main car park.
From the car park walk back through the silver gates and follow the path along the edge of the school.
You will see the main school reception on your right-hand side – turn left and walk past the red bench.
Just before the road and the silver gates turn right up a small path.
This will lead you to the back fire exit door of the gymnastics hall – these will be the doors the gymnasts enter through.
These doors will open 5 minutes before the start of the session.

For pick up after the sessions

From the car park walk back through the silver gates and follow the path along the edge of the school.
You will see the main school reception on your right-hand side – and just ahead another 2 sets of double doors with a Falcon Gymnastics club sign.
These will be the doors the gymnasts exit through.

(There is also a doorbell on the left-hand side of the doors closest to the Falcon sign if you ever need to speak with anybody outside of entry and exit times).
