Holiday Courses

Falcon provides the opportunity for children to come and take part in an extensive week of gymnastics to learn and develop new skills. Our holiday courses run out of Scott Primary School  and are available in both the Easter and Summer holidays. The courses are designed to cater for all levels of gymnastic ability from 4 years of age.

Over the course of the week gymnasts will take part in a range of fun activities designed to develop and progress their gymnastics capabilities. Activities will include apparatus stations, floor work, setting personal goals and acrobatic gymnastics. To finish the week family members will be invited to come and watch the gymnasts perform in a display to showcase all that they have learnt.

More Details

Our holiday courses provide a safe friendly environment for your children to experience a fun gymnastics filled week. The coaches are fully qualified to ensure that your children take part in well structured sessions aimed to develop their gymnastics skills through safe progressions. Our main aim is to provide an experience that your children will not forget, combining fun with exercise to create an environment in which they are able to make friends and use up energy.

What will I do?

  • Setting a Personal Goal – Children will be asked to choose a particular skill with the assistance of our coaches which they will work towards over the course of the week to achieve.
  • Introduced to Acrobatic Gymnastics – This is the discipline of gymnastics that Falcon S.A specializes in. Children will have the opportunity to experience an introduction into this specialism which consists of working with partners and groups.
  • Apparatus Work – Children will have use of all our equipment to develop a range of new skills. The apparatus work will include air track, trampoline, box, beam and trampette.
  • Floor Work – Each day there will be a different gymnastics theme and this will set up the focus for the floor work. These activities will look at the fundamental skills within gymnastics and include shapes, forwards and backwards rolls, cartwheels, headstands and handstands. This work will be additional to the goals that the children will have chosen.
  • Display Work – At the end of the week the children put on a display to showcase their weeks learning. Family members are welcome to come and watch. They will see a series of different routines which include a warm-up, apparatus work, floor skills as well as group routines. This is a fun way to end the week and a chance for the children to perform in front of an audience.
  • Refreshments – Each day the children will be provided with drinks and biscuits to have during their breaks. If you which to provide your own refreshments for them to have during this time then you are more than welcome.
